We are using sound effects to enhance the quality of the atmosphere in our level space.

We want to use the sound effects to guide the player towards something they have not yet seen, such as items or narrative elements, but also towards scares and dead ends.

We are also using sound effects to support animations and events that will happen in the game such as falling and crashing objects, breaking ship walls, or creaking floor boards.

Sound effects can also be important to highlight good things that happen in the game, e.g. when the player uncovers a new piece of information or unlocks a door to proceed.
